Write an introduction for the essay "Why I Left the Farm" (pp. 93-94, exercise 8 in EW) using one of the suggestions for writing introductions on pp. 90-91.
Your introduction should be a minimum of 5 complex sentences.
I have lived in Mohsen Farm, which is located in south of Saudi Arabia for 15 years. I had a difficult moments; however I will not forget the benefits that I had had. In Saudi Arabia, it's a fact that many people left their property and trended to big cities. The reasons I did not want to stay on my family farm were the difficulty of farm work and my desire to learn to program computers.
The other day I was feeling depressed so; I decided to take a walk. While I was walking I over heard those two friends talking. one of them was telling to the other that he should not stay in his family farm and waste his life here. He advised him to go to the big cities and get a good education. And there it hit me the idea about leaving my family farm. Until this day I still think that it was a sign for me to hear those two friends. The reason I did not want to stay on my family farm were the difficulty of farm work and my desire to learn to program computers.

ReplyDeleteI would love for you to have written more, but this is certainly a decent introduction to this essay.
