Write what you think the people in the following situations SHOULD HAVE DONE, OUGHT TO HAVE DONE or SHOULD'NT HAVE DONE. You MUST respond to all four situations.
1. Saad and his wife, Mrs. Alghamdi, had good jobs as professionals in Riyadh. Saad was offered a full scholarship at the LCC, which he immediately accepted. Mrs. Alghamdi was shocked when Saad came home that evening and told her the news. She liked her job and the people she worked with, and did not want to move to a foreign country where the weather was unbearable and the people didn't know how to cook.
2. Olivia agreed to meet her friend Ameed at the library to help him with his English homework. On the way, she stopped at a cafe where her boyfriend (who looked like Brad Pitt) worked. Her boyfriend told her that he could get off work early that night, so the two of them decided to go to a movie. Olivia didn't cancel her plans with Ameed, so Ameed waited three hours for her at the library.
3. For three years, Fahad had been saving his money for a trip to Houston. His brother, Wahad, had a good job, but spent all of his money on expensive cars, clothes, and entertainment. Suddenly, Wahad was fired from his job and had no money to support himself while he looked for another one. Fahad lent him nearly all of his savings, and within three weeks Wahad had spent it all on his car, more clothes, and expensive restaurants.
4. Joyce often exaggerated and once told a co-worker that she was fluent in French, even though she had studied only a little and could not really communicate in the language. A few days later, Joyce's boss asked her to come to his office to interpret a meeting with a French businessman who had just arrived from Paris to negotiate a major contract with the company. After an embarrassed silence, Joyce told her boss that she was feeling ill and had to go home immediately.

ReplyDelete1.I think that Saad shouldn't have accepted the scholarship before he was able to talk with his wife. To move a foreign country it's a tough decision and it's something they both need to agree with.
2.Olivia should have called Ameed and tell him that some improvising plans came up suddenly, if it was okay to get together in other occasion to recover those hours of hard study.
3.I think that Wahad shouldn't have done those buyings, in the phase of seeking for a job, what you need is to take care of what you have because you'll never know how many time you would be doing nothing.
4.Joyce should have told the truth to everybody, she knows only a few words in french. I consider that like being fake to yourself and with other people. Then anybody would trust because they would never know whi you really are.

Saad should stay in his country because the USA is getting crowded. He should have mentioned about studying in USA before he accepted it. He did a big mistake her wife which is unacceptable. Mrs. Alghamdi must destroy his husband document (I-20).
ReplyDeleteAmeed should buy two tickets to send Oliva and her boyfriend to the hell. Olivia shouldn’t done that because the people communicate by talking. She could call Ameed in order to cancel plan. Ameed must not forgive them.

DeleteI think sasd should have discussed it with his wife because the way he accepted the scholarship is like he doesnt care about his wife and maybe was a chance for him to get dvorced and enjoy his time in the other country . believe me thats the correct ansewer.
ReplyDeleteOlivia hasn't appologized to me and im mad at her and i might not forgive her if she doen;t come tomorrow monday and appologize to me. she should have called me when she did her mistake.
Fahad shouldnt have given any dime to his brother, maybe he just should feed him and Wahad shouldnt have spent his money and wast it in this way just to show off.
She shouldnt have said that she is fluent in french and i think her lie that she was sick is good for her to not be embarressed infront of those people. i think her boss should have made sure that she speaks french or not but he is cheap person and dint want to pay money for a translator.

1. True, but I don't know if he had to have given up his plan, as you say. I think he should have made the decision with her. Maybe she would have agreed after discussing it.
